Noah Kahan’s Musical Journey to Success

Noah Kahan is an American singer-songwriter that rose to mainstream fame with his success of his song, “Stick Season.” Kahan, age 27, grew up in Strafford, Vermont where he found his love for crafting music. He began writing his own songs at age 8 and continued his work through high school where he started to produce and release songs with his friends.

Kahan signed with Republic Records, a division under Universal Records, in 2017. He released his debut EP, Hurt Somebody, in January 2018 with a notable collaboration with Julia Micheals on “Hurt Somebody.” The non-collaboration version of “Hurt Somebody,” achieved gold status in the United States. The success of the song established Kahan as an artist to watch.

Busyhead

In February of this year, Kahan released Stick Season (Forever) 5 days after the 2024 Grammys where he was nominated as Best New Artist. Stick Season (Forever) features songs like “Northern Attitude” and “Forever,” an extended version of “The View Between Villages” and collaborations with artists such as Hozier, Brandi Carlile and Kacey Musgraves. “Stick Season” reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 shortly after its 2024 release.
