MGMT is an American alternative band formed in 2002 in Middletown, Connecticut. The band was founded by Andrew Vanwyngarden and Ben Goldwasser. Vanwyngarden and Goldwasser formed MGMT during their freshman year of college at Wesleyan University. The band originally bonded over their shared love for electronic music and blended that with the alternative genre. The band was originally called The Management but they later shortened it to MGMT.
In 2006, the band signed with Columbia Records. Following their singing, MGMT released their first studio album a year later.
Oracular Spectacular
On October 2, 2007, MGMT released their first studio album, Oracular Spectacular. Oracular Spectacular has 10 songs including “Time to Pretend,” “Weekend Wars,” “The Youth,” “Electric Fell,” “Kids,” “4th Dimensional Transition,” “Pieces of What,” “Of Moons, Birds & Monsters,” “The Handshake,” and “Future Reflections.”

Almost three years later, the band released their second studio album, Congratulations, on April 7, 2010. Over 4 years later, the band released their next album, Little Dark Age, on February 9, 2018. Loss Of Life
