Welcome to the Neighborhood: Good Neighbours

Welcome to our deep dive into the vibrant world of Good Neighbours, a band that’s been making noise with their infectious sound and performances. Coming from the UK, this group combines elements of indie rock, folk, and a dash of pop, creating music that resonates with fans of all ages. With their thought-provoking lyrics, Good Neighbors not only creates catchy tunes but also build a community around their art.

Good Neighbours formed in 2023 when the band members, Oli Fox and Scott Vernill, met and bonded over their passion for ironic upbeat pop songs. Fox and Vernill began to play together in 2023 since their studios were located close to each other.

Their first success wasn’t even on the charts; it was on TikTok. The band released a snippet of their first single, “Home,” on TikTok. The clip went viral in early 2024 where new fans awaited the release of the song. “Home” was quick to rise on the charts capturing people’s attention with its nostalgia around 2000s and 2010s alternative hits. The song currently has 289,418,959 streams on Spotify and Good Neighbors has 8,684, 713 monthly listeners. “Home” earned a spot on the UK Top 40s and reached number 77 on the Billboard Hot 100.

After the success of “Home,” the band signed with Capitol & Polydor Records. After singing with a label, the band was quick to release their second and third singles, “Keep It Up” and “Daises” shortly ahead of the release of their debut EP, “Good Neighbors – EP.”

“Good Neighbours – EP” released on October 4 under Some Action/Neon Gold/Avenue A. The EP is 14 minutes long with 5 songs- “Keep It Up,” “Daises,” “Home,” “Bloom,” and “Weekend Boy.”

As we wrap up our discussion on Good Neighbours, it’s clear that this band is more than just a collection of talented musicians; they embody a spirit of connection and creativity that resonates deeply with their fans. With each new release, they continue to evolve their sound, proving that their journey is just beginning.
