The Cure is an alternative rock band formed in Crawley, West Sussex in 1976. The band has gone through several band member changes throughout the years, but Robert Smith has been a part of the band since day one. Other past band members include Michael Dempsey, Matthieu Hartley, Andy Anderson, Phil Thornalley, Lol Tolhurst, Boris Williams, and Porl Thompson. Current band members include Rober Smith (lead vocalist), Simon Gallup (bass guitarist), Roger OβDonnell (keyboardist), Perry Bamonte (guitarist), Jason Cooper (drummer), and Reeves Gabrels (guitarist).
