Peach Pit

Peach Pit is an indie-rock band from Vancouver, Canada who describe their sound as “chewed bubblegum pop” whereas critics describe their sound as sad pop combined with surf rock. The band includes Neil Smith, leader singer and rhythm guitarist, Christopher Vanderkooy, lead guitarist, Peter Wilton, bassist, and Mikey Pascuzzi, drummer. The band formed when high school friends, Smith and Vanderkooy, decided to collaborate on a project in 2014. Wilton and Pascuzzi joined shortly after. In 2016, the band released its debut EP, Sweet FA.

Their video for the song, “Peach Pit,” from their 2016 debut EP, Sweet Fa, has more than 25 million views. “Alrighty Aphrodite” spent 15 weeks on Billboard’s Canada Rock chart, peaking at number 37. Alternative Press included Peach Pit on its list of the Top 10 Modern Bands Keeping Surf Rock Alive and Well in 2019.

Being So Normal (2018)

Peach Pit released their first studio album, Being So Normal, on June 28, 2018, under Columbia Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment. The album has 9 songs and is 37 minutes long.
