"For those brave enough..." If you finished the quote from the book Lights Out by Navessa
Allen, we're friends. After scouring YouTube for a playlist that reminded me of Letum from
Death's Obsession by Avina St. Graves, I can say with my whole chest, WHY ARE THEY
NOT MODERN SONGS THAT PEOPLE ALREADY KNOW!? I'm not joking in one video
someone put MOZART! WHY?!
Anyway, here at 95.7 the Spin, I went through a list of songs that we play on the station and
attached my OWN playlist that I felt Leon, Letum and Josh, would listen to. Starting with:
Do I Wanna Know by Arctic Monkeys, for fans of Death's Obsession by Avina St. Graves,
that slow, crawling bass line? Pure Letum Energy. The sound of a love that awaits in the
shadows, watching, waiting, wanting but never daring to touch the light...sorry... This one's for
anyone who has ever asked themselves, "Do I wanna know if you feel the same?" We play
this on the station so be sure to listen.
Her Soul to Take by Harley Laroux: I Feel Like I'm Drowning by Two Feet. This track DRIPS
with tension, a love that feels like being pulled under, oxygen running out but you can't stop.
It's Leon and Rae from start to finish, there's tension, danger and surrender in every note. We
play this as well.
Going back to Lights Out by Navessa Allen, I offer you High Enough by K. Flay (I recommend
the SLOWED version edited by XxTristanxo). A gritty alt-rock anthem for anyone chasing
something real in a world built on lies. It's that moment when chaos slows down just long
enough to make you realize, you don't need the high, you need the person beside you.
Honorable Mentions:
Had some Drinks - Two Feet
Bad Omen - The Haunt (We play this)
Just Pretend - Bad Omens
It's Been so Long - K. Flay (We play this too)
Mummy Dust - Ghost
I'm Your Gun - Alice Cooper
Bad Idea - Dove Cameron
Boyfriend - Dove Cameron
