Starting on a football field in 1993 a band has populated the music industry. Jacoby Shaddix, singer, and Dave Buckner, drummer, joined together and formed what now is known as Papa Roach. The name came from the lead singer based off a name from his step-grandfather. Since the creation of Papa Roach eleven different albums have been produced. In 2018, Papa Roach was nominated for the rock artist of the year. Alongside that nomination their song “Help” was nominated for rock song of the year. This all lead up to 2023 where the band won rock artist of the year. Papa roach has also won six different BDS Spin Awards from a song in 2004 to a song in 2012. This band that started with just a couple people with an idea has made a huge impact in the music world.
