The top two songs for 2023 so far are quite awesome. To start second place is We Didn’t Start the Fire by Fall Out Boy. It is an alternative rock genre. This song is fast and has me constantly moving. This song is very distracting due to the great melody of the music and voice.I know when I listen to the song I get distracted due to the greatness of this song.  In first place is a newer song The American Dream by Green Day. This song is a combination of alternative and indie genres. The music works extremely well with the song overall. The chorus is very catchy due to the great melody. The top two songs for the year so far are extremely accurate and fit well in the alternative genre.
