WILBURS BIO Wilburs is a Folk Indie Rock project created by Justin Wayne Moore located in Evansville, IN. At the beginning of 2022, desperate to start over musically but having a certain sound in mind, Justin Wayne Moore started Wilburs to be an outlet for a sound he believes comes straight from his soul. Influenced by the likes of Phoebe Bridgers, Modest Mouse and Animal Collective, Wilburs was born out of love of Acoustic music and natural Kentucky mannerisms mixed with indie influences. “Wilburs I”, our first record, was a record made to be enhanced upon in a live setting. Approached with a “first idea, best idea” mentality, “Wilburs I” is a bare-bones testament that things don’t always have to be completely polished to have value, and that sometimes that’s just the way things are. This was followed by “Wilburs II”, an extensively layered and thought-out collection of songs that goes hand in hand with the first record yet has its own distinctive identity. It is our most well received LP to date. There’s no shortage of beauty and destruction to be found in the Wilburs catalog. Concert goers can expect thick atmospheres interlaced with grooves, smoky vocals and flashes of alternative metal to bring you a show and band you won’t likely forge.
