iHeartRadio dubbing them Verge Artists, it’s no surprise, especially with 199,619 listeners on
Spotify. One song that’s been haunting my brain lately is Kill the Ghost.
The core theme of Kill the Ghost is scarringly relatable: the struggle of the human spirit against itself. As drummer Troy Bruner has stated, “The greatest obstacle to becoming who we’re meant to be is our own resistance. The “ghost” in this context is the metaphorical weight we carry. The old habits, past regrets, relentless self-criticism, and the need for control. The song is a visceral invitation to let go of what holds us back and step into something bigger. Greater, even.
It’s sound, is propulsive and layered, with a sharp, electro-rock edge that pushes the
emotional intensity forward. It reflects the struggle, it sounds like a frantic but focused effort to
